Obituary

Billy Andrew Robertson, age 73, transitioned peacefully on July 26, 2026, at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, surrounded by his wife and loved ones.

Billy was born on April 1, 1953, in Reidsville, North Carolina, where he graduated from Reidsville Senior High School in 1971. Later, Billy made his home in Riverdale, Georgia, with his wife Kimberly where he continued building a life centered on family and friendships.

Billy had a passion for sports and found great joy in coaching youth football with the Reidsville Recreation Vikings. He dedicated many years to mentoring young athletes, investing his time, encouragement, and resources into the program. His leadership helped guide the team to multiple championships and created lasting memories for the players and families he coached.

Billy also enjoyed life's simple pleasures. He loved spending time at the beach, visiting zoos and aquariums, and being around animals, especially turtles and dogs. He faithfully cheered for his hometown Reidsville Rams, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Atlanta Hawks. In his free time, Billy enjoyed drawing, earning him the nickname "Drawing Billy Robertson," reading his favorite book “The Onion”, watching movies with his grandchildren and friends, and playing board and video games.

He is preceded in death by his parents Thomas Lee Roberston Sr. and Minnie Sue Robertson and siblings: brother Thomas Lee Roberston Jr. “Tommy Lee” and sister Brenda “Peter Rabbit” Robertson and his beloved dog, Moses.

Forever a family man, Billy leaves behind to cherish his memory wife, Kimberly Roberston of the home and daughters Tanika Robertson McAdams and Nakisha Neal (Gerrard), step-sons Robert Reid, Clayton Reid, Aaron Reid (Jaynisse). Grandchildren, Chace McAdams (Alijah), Elijah Neal, Arion Neal, Selah McAdams, Jamal Neal, Chayton Reid, Kadence Reid, A’Journee Reid, Zyon Reid, De’Vona Reid, JaQuan Reid, Ny’Ree Reid, and one great-grandson, Nico McAdams. Siblings, Barbara Alverson (Ronnie), Mary Pritchett, Charles Robertson (Patricia), and Eva Neal. Special loved ones: “third daughter” Yolanda Totten, Isaiah Ogunyemi, Billy L. Blackstock, Willy L. Blackstock, “granddaughter in love” Michel’le Heaggins, and Willy Blackstock Jr.

Billy was not only an uncle but a father figure to many of his nieces and nephews and a host of family members, friends, and loved ones who will forever cherish his wisdom, humor, and unwavering dedication.

His legacy lives on in every life he touched, every lesson he taught, and every moment he spent pouring into others.

The family will be arriving at 1:30pm. Burial will be held at Greenview Cemetery.
