Ms. Brenda Ann Blackstock Crawford Fountain Galloway was the daughter of the late Mr. Willie Robert Blackstock and Julia Mae Blackstock. She was born on August 7, 1961, in Rockingham County, Reidsville, NC. Following a period of illness, she departed this life peacefully Friday morning, May 15th, 2026. She was a native of Reidsville, NC and a lifelong resident of Rockingham County. Ms. Brenda attended public schools. She was employed at IEM plastics for over 20 years, where she became supervisor, she also worked at Texturing Services of Martinville, Va, where she served 16 years until her health started to decline in the early 2000's.
Ms. Brenda was a woman that enjoyed the simple things in life. She loved reading, gardening, and music. Above all she loves Praising God; She belonged to several churches UCan Make It Ministry where she served on the Usher Board, Senior Choir, Little Bethlehem Church where she served as an Usher. Ms. Brenda joined the Chapel Hill Progressive Primitive Church recently. Ms. Brenda loved her family. Her grandchildren were everything to her. She was extremely happy with all their accomplishments. She would boast about all her grandchildren. She really loved to attend her First Grandsons, Tahir Scales soccer, basketball and football games. Ms. Brenda showed up for all her grandchildren's events even when she did not feel her best. She was always willing to lend a helping hand. She was a sweet woman with a sweet personality and sharing with what she got with others, giving rides to whomever until gas got too high.
In addition to her parents, Willie Robert Blackstock and Julia Mae Alverson Blackstock King was preceded in death by her sisters Willie Mae Blackstock and Janice Marie Blackstock. Brothers Percy Lewis Blackstock, Donald Elvis Blackstock, Robert Lee Blackstock, Wilbert M. Blackstock, William M. Blackstock and Charles Edward Blackstock.
Ms. Brenda is survived by her loving daughter Angela Tanika Crawford of Eden, NC and her dearest son Ricky Douglas Crawford Jr of Reidsville, NC, one sister, Mrs. Carrie Bell Harris of Reidsville, NC. Three brothers Franklin Eugene Blackstock (Nancy) of Reidsville, NC David Lee Blackstock (Margret) of Reidsville, NC James Andrew King (Nakia) of Columbia, South Carolina. Grand-daughters QuAyshia T. Crawford, Kytica U. Crawford, Angel Scales, Alaisa T. Crawford, India U. Crawford, Meranda Ann Perez.
Grandsons: Adarian Tahir Scales, Ricky D. Crawford Ill, Zachary D. Crawford, Josiah B. Perez, Dylan Mcleod. Then her Sweetheart Irvin Wayne Bigeolow mostly known as Smitty and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
