Cordelia Craig Gorrell, age 87, passed away peacefully on December 25th, 2025. She was born in Windsor County, North Carolina on July 3rd, 1938, to Andrew & Cordelia Craig, both deceased.

She was employed for over 25 years with Cone Mills. She was of the Baptist Faith and was a member at West End Baptist Church, Reidsville, NC. Where she served as a missionary, an usher and sung with the choir. She enjoyed growing and arranging flowers. She had a special love for dancing and was often known as the life of the party.

Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Thomas Gorrell, a brother: Andrew Craig, sisters: Esther Caig, Kathy Lary, Annie Branson.

Cordelia is survived her sons: Thomas Maurice Gorrell and Anthony Orlando Gorrell (Mylene) both of Reidsville, NC and Carmeno Jerome Gorrell (Angie) of Greensboro, NC; daughters: Terri Elizabeth Gorell and Shelia Diane Gorrell both of Reidsville, NC, Maxine Levatrice Gorrell of Greensboro, NC and Teresa Gorrell Gibson (Larry) of High Point, NC; a god-daughter, Carlyn Williamson; her sister, Lizzie Robinson; 8 grandchildren: Shawnta, Davina, Sheameka, Denee, Zy, Tyler, T’Shawn and Promise; 11 great grandchildren; special friends, Robin Moore and Shirley Foster, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will cherish her memory. Cordelia loved her family, and she will be deeply missed.

Though Cordelia is no longer with us in body, her spirit and the love she shared will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her.
