Donnell Curtis "Boy" Houghton, Jr., age 63, was born in Reidsville NC on July 6, 1962, to Donnell Curtis Houghton, Sr and Vivian Keesee Houghton. He went home to be with the Lord on December 6, 2025.

Donnell enjoyed playing golf, fishing and working. He was retired from A and T State University as a roofing specialist. He served with the US Army in the 101st (Air Assault) Airborne Division. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching football and Nascar racing. He was a cookout master where he enjoyed grilling steaks, he could cook anything.

Other than his parents, Donnell was preceded in death by brother: Victor Dale Houghton; sisters: Irish L Harrison, Loretta Rice, and Evelyn Mayo.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his sons, Donnell Curtis Houghton III “Scooter” of Charlotte, NC and Ian P Houghton “IP” of Hickory, NC; daughters, Shadonna Simpson-Odom (Anthony) of Reidsville, NC and Princess Houghton of Charlotte, NC; brothers, Mike Houghton (Lisa) of Reidsville, NC and Jerry O. Houghton of Lexington, KY; a sister, Debra Hairston (Ray) of Reidsville, NC; grandchildren: Jordan, Aatieyah “Popcorn”, Simpson, Anthony Odom and Jada Odom, Jalynn, Jeremiah and Ishaon Houghton, 2 great grandchildren, Salynn and Jalynn Houghton Jr. He is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, family and friends.
