Ms. Judith Denise Montgomery -Moore, affectionately known as “Judy,” peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. Born on April 26, 1964, in Rockingham County, North Carolina, Judith was the beloved daughter of the late Etta Cobb Montgomery and the late Joe Montgomery.
Judith was educated in the Rockingham County School System and proudly graduated from Reidsville High School, Class of 1983.Judy was formerly employed by Dynamic Glass Company. Judith also participated in workshops at the Opportunity Center of Rockingham County. In her downtime, Judith could be found watching her favorite game show, Wheel of Fortune, or sipping on a cold Pepsi. She was known for her warm smile, compassionate heart, and generous spirit. Judy never hesitated to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, and her kindness touched the lives of many.
From an early age, Judith developed a love for the Lord and worshipped at St. Stevenson’s Church in Reidsville, North Carolina. In her later years, she became a faithful member of Trinity Holy Tabernacle, Reidsville NC under the leadership of Bishop Alphonse Nicholson, where she enjoyed fellowshipping with her church family.
Judith embraced life with joy and enthusiasm. She had a deep love for music and enjoyed singing, dancing, playing games, coloring, and working crossword puzzles. Above all, she treasured spending quality time with her family and friends. Her laughter, loving personality, and caring nature will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Etta Cobb Montgomery and Joe Montgomery. Brothers Calvin Lee Breeze, Lonnie Breeze and Johnson Montgomery, and her sister, Dorothy Breeze, in eternal peace and rest.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories her devoted sister, Shirley B. Nicholson and brother-in-law, Donnie Nicholson; sisters, Patricia Breeze and Helen M. Montgomery; special nephew, Jamie Breeze; nephew, Leon Nicholson; niece, Starlena Breeze; her special friend & former husband Mr. Edward Moore and special cousin Rosalee “Edna” Pickard-Moore all of Reidsville NC. Along with a host of extended family members, dear friends, classmates, and all whose lives were blessed by her love and kindness.
Although Judith has departed from our sight, the love she shared, the memories she created and Her beautiful spirit will forever remain a blessing to all who knew her.”
