Mrs. Linda Lane Neal (Nikki) departed this life on Friday, November 12, 2025. As a native and lifelong resident of Rockingham County North Carolina. She attended the local public schools, and she was an avid Washington Redskins football fan and loved her animals dearly. Linda was so full of life, she loved and cared about everyone.

During her leisure she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, attending family events, playing spades, planting her yearly vegetable garden.

Preceded her in death are parents, Mary Lane James and Alfonso Lane grandparents, Dewey Lane and Dorothy Lane, Frank Stokes and Helen Stokes, niece Ta'Niya Johnson and several beloved aunts and uncles.

Survivors are husband James Neal, daughter Brittany Lane Hoggard (Preston) stepkids: Mathaeyia King, Dominique Neal, Dre Neal, Talis Neal, grandkids: La'Majesti Hoggard, A'mauri Hoggard and Preston Hoggard Jr.

Siblings: Katrina Lane Hairston(Henry), Derek Pinnix Jr.(Kim), Michael Pass, nephews and nieces: Tyre Johnson, Brionna Brooks, Taliah Washington, great nieces and nephews: Ny'Aria, Anadia, Tyre Jr., Raquel, Makinzley, and Celeste. aunts and uncles: Myra Stokes, Gary Wayne Stokes, Margie Lane, Harry Morehead and Bryant Morehead, special friend Tyrone Long. host of other relatives, cousins and friends.
