IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Minister Montina
Renee Galloway Assani
December 30, 1968 – October 18, 2025
Minister Montina Renee' Galloway Assani entered this world on December 30th, 1968. She was relieved of her earthly duties and returned home to her Heavenly Father on October 18th, 2025.
Montina's kind and generous spirit knew no bounds. She never met a stranger and spent her life not only serving the Lord, but also anyone that was in need. Montina dearly loved her family and enjoyed spending her spare time with them. She loved cooking and was also known to break out a dance move every now and then.
At any given time, Minister Assani could be found praising the Lord and his great works. She loved preaching the Word, and she was a devoted member of Ramah Restoration Outreach Center, where she served as an associate minister and served on the usher board and in the choir.
Minister Assani is now reuniting with her mother Christine Galloway; her son, Michael Blackstock, and her granddaughter, Arianna Martin.
Minister Assani leaves to think of her always: her husband, Mahamadou Assani; her daughter, Lamyia Galloway, of the home; sons, Qashawn Galloway, of the home and Elton S. Martin, Jr. (Marissa), of Wentworth; three grandchildren, Prince Peoples, LaShawn Peoples and Jamarrion Martin; an uncle, the Reverend Samuel Galloway; her best friend, her loving dog Lola; special friends, Penny Adams, Sherry Moore, Joy Puryear, Mother Puryear, Iris Copeland, Pamela Watlington, Shenita Melvin and a host of many family and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Wesley Long Oncology Unit and Hospice of the Piedmont in High Point.
