Ossie Mae Lynn transitioned from labor to reward on February 8th, 2026. Ossie was born on May 11th, 1949, to the late Samuel and Mary Ossie Slade Lynn.

Ossie was a devoted wife and proud mother of six children who enjoyed partaking in the simple joys of life. She enjoyed fishing, completing crossword puzzles, reading and watching TV. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she loved unconditionally.

In addition to her parents, Ossie will now be reunited with her husband, Leroy Roosevelt Brown; her daughter, Mary Ann Lynn-Miller; her four brothers: Willie Pink Lynn, Hilton Lynn, Joe Albert Lynn and William Henry Lynn, and her three sisters: Viola Cobb, Emma Jean Lynn and Idell McCurlkin.

Ossie leaves to cherish her precious memories: her daughter, Brenda Lynn Bosley (Harry), of the home; her four sons: James Henry Lynn (Marsha), of Syracuse, NY, William Thomas Settle (Julie), of Brunswick, MD, Thomas Monroe Lynn (Fran), of Syracuse, NY and Sammie Leroy Lynn, of the home. Ossie will also live on in the hearts of her twenty grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, five brothers-in-law, two aunts, one uncle and a multitude of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

We want to thank the medical team at Wesley-Long Cancer Center, Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Cancer Center, and Dr. Zack Hall for all that they have done for our mother.
