Robert Lee Flippen, Sr, the son of the late Mary Lee Law Flippen and the late Pros Robinson, was born on June 13th, 1939, in Pittsylvania County, Danville, VA. Following a five-year period of illness, he departed this life peacefully Wednesday morning, January 28th, 2026. He was a native of Danville, VA and a life-long resident of Rockingham County.
Robert attended the public schools. He was a former employee of Fieldcrest-Cannon Corporation in Eden, NC. He also worked at his good friend's farm, the late Ted French, in the Oregon Hill area, and he worked security at Rob and Ray convenience store, because of his trustworthiness, the owner gave him a key to the store.
Robert was a man that enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved farming, fishing, going to tractor pulls, watching Westerns and going to Pro wrestling matches. He was a generous man, always lending a helping hand. He enjoyed going to the food pantry and sharing what he got with others less fortunate.
In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his sister, Rose A. Flippen Fountain.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Polly Ann Jumper Flippen, of the home; four sons: Robert Lee Flippen, Jr., Larie S. Pinkard and Samuel H. Jumper, all of Reidsville, and Clarence Jumper, of Greensboro; three daughters: Sharon J. Clements, of Fayetteville, Shellie Jumper, of Caswell County, and Gail E. Flippen; one brother, Lewis R. Flippen, of Reidsville; a sister, Dianna Flippen Mendoza, of Reidsville; a boatload of grandchildren and a shipload of great grandchildren; his loving and caring friends: Ricky Abbott, Tom Seher, Macey Durham and Johnny Yow; a special nurse, Bianca, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation 1-2 pm, with the family arriving at 1:30 pm. Burial will be held at Chapel Hill Progressive Primitive Baptist Church, 3360 Guerrant Springs Rd., Ruffin, NC 27326.
