Obituary

Robert Lee Flippen was born to the late Pros Robertson and Mary Lee Flippen on June 13th, 1939. He passed away peacefully at his home on January 28th, 2026.

Robert was a man that enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved farming, fishing and going to tractor pulls. He was a generous man that had no problem lending a helping hand whenever he was called upon. Robert was a fan of wrestling and Westerns, and at any given time he could be found watching either one.

In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his sister, Rose A. Flippen Fountain.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Polly Ann Flippen, of the home; four sons: Robert Lee Flippen, Jr., Larrie S. Pinkard and Samuel H. Jumper, all of Reidsville, and Clarence Jumper, of Greensboro; three daughters: Sharon J. Clements, of Fayetteville, Shellie Jumper, of Caswell County, and Gail E. Flippen; one brother, Lewis R. Flippen, of Reidsville; a sister, Dianna Flippen Mendoza, of Reidsville; a boatload of grandchildren, and a shipload of great grandchildren; his loving friends: Macey Durham and Johnny Yow; a special nurse, Bianca, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
