Roy Elmer Pinnix of Eden NC, passed away on January 30, 2026, at Safe Haven Adult Care Home in Eden, NC. Roy was born on August 14, 1930, the youngest son of the late James and Nettie Bell Neal Pinnix. Roy was affectionately known as "Pop", "Papa Roy" and "Uncle Roy". Until his health declined, he was a faithful member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Reidsville, NC., where he was a former member of the Usher board, Trustee, Church Custodian, and a member of the United Methodist Men.

As a resident of Caswell County for the majority of his life, he attended the local public schools. Following many years of laboring, he retired from Edge Combs Metal in Greensboro NC, and Rockingham Community College. He enjoyed working on lawn mowers, farming, gardening, and always willing to share the fruits of his labor with others.

Roy was a friendly person who was well liked throughout his community. Pop or Papa Roy loved to talk, and joke around with his son and grandchildren, whom he loved dearly. Through his blessed life he was a cheerful giver and always wanted to do what he could to help someone else.In addition to his parents, a beloved wife, Daphney H Pinnix; sisters, Margaret Cotton, Virtine Johnson, Charlotte Harrison, Lillie Pinnix, & Connie Blackwell; brother, Sylvester Pinnix; sister-in-law, Bertha Graves Pinnix, Rosa Neal, Sadie Kollore, Faye McCollum & Shirley Miller; brothers-in-law, Elmo Johnson, Benny Harrison, Willie Blackwell, Dr. Floyd Cotton, Peter Herbin, Johnny Wilson & RJ Neal, preceded him in death.
