Sharon 'BooBoo' Denese Chandler was born on September 16th, 1966, in Rockingham County. Sharon peacefully transitioned on June 22nd, 2026, at Novant Hospital in Winston-Salem.

Sharon was a bright light in the lives of everyone she knew. She was well known and had a generous spirit and a big heart. She loved her family and she never met a stranger. She could often be found setting up her booth at the local flea market or shooting some hoops on the court. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, and she loved to collect coins and old money. In Sharon’s downtime, she could be found puffing a Newport or sipping a Corona.

Sharon will now be reunited with her wife, Mia Barnett; her parents, James Junior Chandler and Mary Frances King Chandler, and her brother, Tony Chandler, in everlasting peace and rest.

Sharon will forever live on in the hearts of her two grandsons; her brother, Terrell Chandler, of Eden; a special niece, Shanece Chandler (Destiny), of Martinsville, VA, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
