William Thomas Riddick was born in Gates County on June 8th, 1930, to the late Galvester and Claty Mae Hunter Riddick. William peacefully transitioned to eternal rest on April 27th, 2026. 

William was a hardworking man that took pride in everything he touched. He was a self-taught handyman that could fix nearly anything. He had an affinity for working on cars and he also raised farm animals. He enjoyed family and took great joy in the simple things in life.

William was preceded in death not only by his parents, but also his brother James Riddick, and his five sisters: Mary Riddick, Dorothy Johnson, Lula Riddick, Elnora Riddick and Elouise R. Webb.

William will forever remain in the memories of his godsons, Elwood and Anthony Brothers; his sister, Francis Powell, of Boston, MA; his two nephews, Ronnie and Bobby Riddick, and a special nephew, Sayon Barcliff.
